Supervizuelna u studiju – ALEKSANDAR DIMITRIJEVIĆ
U novoj epizodi serijala Supervizuelna u studiju posetile smo atelje Aleksandra Dimitrijevića, a ujedno i prostor novootvorenog Kulturnog de-centra Reflektor, gde je preseljena delatnost nekadašnje galerije Reflektor nakon višegodišnjeg rada u Užicu. Kulturni de-centar Reflektor nalazi se u selu Gorjani, u prostoru bivše osnovne škole. Sa Aleksandrom smo razgovrali o prošlogodišnjem programu koji je realizovan u prostoru, gostoprimstvu novih komšija, kaoi o njegovom umetničkom radu. Tokom videa možete steći uvid u način na koji je ova zgrada adaptirana svojoj novoj, izlagačkoj funkciji, ali i njene druge sastavne elemente, poput dela namenjenog biblioteci i radu. Pri odgovoru na pitanje šta mu je najvažnije od umetničkih alata, Aleksandar ističe da je to atelje, ne nužno zbog fizičkog rada, već da „popiješ kafu i ćutiš“. In the new episode of the Supervizuelna in the Studio, we visited the studio of Aleksandar Dimitrijević, which is also the space of the newly opened Cultural De-center Reflektor, where the activities of the former Reflektor Gallery have been relocated after years of operation in Užice. The Cultural De-center Reflektor is located in the village of Gorjani, in the building of a former elementary school. We spoke with Aleksandar about last year’s program held in the space, the hospitality of the new neighbors, and his artistic work. Throughout the video, you can get insight into how the building has been adapted for its new function as an exhibition space, as well as into its other elements, such as the section designated for a library and workspace. In response to the question of what artistic tool he finds most important, Aleksandar emphasizes that it is the studio—not necessarily for the physical work, but to “have a coffee and be silent”. Aleksandar Dimitrijević je rođen 1977.god. u Užicu, gde živi i radi. Osnovne studije(slikarstvo) završio je 2004. na Akademiji Umetnosti u Novom Sadu. Magistrirao je (crtež) na istoj Akademiji 2010.god. Doktorirao 2020. god. na istom univerzitetu. Predaje na Akademiji strukovnih studija Zapadna Srbija, Odsek Užice od 2017. godine. Od 2004. izlagao je na trideset samostalnih i preko 150 grupnih izložbi u Srbiji (Beograd, Novi Sad, Užice, Kragujevac…) i inostranstvu (London, Rim, Amsterdam, Berlin, Beč, Oslo…). Dobitnik je brojnih nagrada, među kojima su: Nagrada za doprinos razvoju kulture Grada Užica (2019), Nagrada Fondacije Jelene Šantić (2018), Velika nagrada HVI Anala umetnosti u Čačku (2012), kao i Velika nagrada 40. Novosadskog salona (2011). Osnivač je Udruženja vizuelnih umetnika Užica, Galerije Reflektor i Kulturnog de-centra Reflektor u selu Gorjani, smeštenog u nekadašnjoj osnovnoj školi, koji se bavi savremenom umetnošću, zajednicom i decentralizacijom kulture.

Aleksandar Dimitrijević was born in 1977 in Užice, where he currently lives and works. He completed his undergraduate studies in painting in 2004 at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad. He earned a master’s degree in drawing from the same academy in 2010 and obtained his doctorate there in 2020. Since 2017, he has been teaching at the Academy of Vocational Studies Western Serbia, Department in Užice. Since 2004, he has exhibited in thirty solo and over 150 group exhibitions in Serbia (Belgrade, Novi Sad, Užice, Kragujevac…) and abroad (London, Rome, Amsterdam, Berlin, Vienna, Oslo…). He is the recipient of numerous awards, including the Award for Contribution to Cultural Development by the City of Užice (2019), the Jelena Šantić Foundation Award (2018), the Grand Prize of the HVI Art Annals in Čačak (2012), and the Grand Prize of the 40th Novi Sad Salon (2011). He is the founder of the Association of Visual Artists of Užice, Reflektor Gallery, and the Cultural De-center Reflektor in the village of Gorjani, located in a former elementary school, dedicated to contemporary art, community, and cultural decentralization.
