Supervizuelna u studiju – IVAN ŠULETIĆ
Današnja epizoda i intervju Supervizuelne u studiju nas vodi u atelje umetnika Ivana Šuletića. Razgovor smo započeli temama istorije i osnivanja Supervizuelne, da bismo ubrzo prešli na konkretnija pitanja koja se tiču umetničkog rada, ali i odnosa kreativnog stvaralaštva prema savremenim ratnim i drugim razaranjima. Jedna od važnih tačaka bila je diskusija o odnosima savremene umetnosti i generativnih alata veštačke inteligencije, pri čemu su nužno proizašla pitanja, a koja stoje u direktnoj vezi sa umetničkim radovima Ivana Šuletića, o poziciji umetnika između realnih, fizički udaljenih devastacija i njihovih medijskih slika, te nivoa namerne arbitrarnosti, nedostižne objektivnosti ili predstavljačke univerzalnosti kada je reč o generisanim ili medijskim slikama ruševina. Pored toga, videle smo (i isprobale) različite umetničke alate i upoznale se sa nekim od ranijih radova izvedenim u različitim medijima, poput grafičkog rada Dafiment kalendara. Today’s episode and studio interview of Supervizuelna in the Studio takes us into the studio of artist Ivan Šuletić. The conversation began with topics related to the history and founding of Supervizuelna, soon moving on to more specific questions concerning artistic work, as well as the relationship between creative practice and contemporary war and other forms of destruction. One of the key points was a discussion on the relationship between contemporary art and generative artificial intelligence tools, which necessarily led to questions directly related to Ivan Šuletić’s artistic works—questions about the position of the artist between real, physically distant devastations and their media images, and the degree of intentional arbitrariness, unattainable objectivity, or representational universality when it comes to generated or media images of ruins. In addition, we saw (and tried out) various artistic tools and got acquainted with some earlier works carried out in different media, such as the graphic work Dafiment Calendar. Ivan Šuletić je diplomirao (2007) i završio doktorske umetničke studije (2015) na Slikarskom odseku Fakulteta likovnih umetnosti u Beogradu. Izlagao je na samostalnim i grupnim izložbama u Srbiji i inostranstvu. Njegovi radovi se nalaze u javnim i privatnim kolekcijama, među kojima su Muzej grada Beograda, Kolekcija umetnosti European Patent Office u Minhenu, Narodni muzej Kruševac, Wiener Städtische kolekcija savremene umetnosti, kolekcija Galerije savremene umetnosti Niš i druge. Šuletić je dobitnik prve nagrade Fondacije Vladimir Veličković za crtež 2018. godine, nagrade „Likovna jesen“ 2016. i druge nagrade „Niš Art Fondacije“ za 2015. godinu. U periodu od 2013. do 2018. godine bio je jedan od urednika i autora beogradskog veb magazina Supervizuelna. Zaposlen je u zvanju docenta na Arhitektonskom fakultetu u Beogradu.

Ivan Šuletić is a visual artist based in Belgrade. He holds a BA, MA and PhD from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Arts in Belgrade. His work includes drawing, painting, installation, sculpture and video. Šuletić has exhibited widely in Serbia and beyond. His works are featured in several public and private collections, including the Belgrade City Museum and the European Patent Office Art Collection, Munich. From 2013 to 2018 he was a co-editor and writer for the Belgrade-based web magazine Supervizuelna. He currently holds the position of Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Belgrade.
