Supervizuelna u studiju – AMANDA HELLSTEN
Novu sezonu serijala Supervizuelna u studiju započinjemo epizodom u kojoj smo posetili atelje umetnice Amande Helsten (Amanda Hellsten) u Stokholmu. Sa njom smo razgovarali o uslovima izlaganja i mogućnostima prodaje umetničkih radova u Švedskoj, aktuelnoj umetničkoj sceni u Stokholmu i njenim pristupima umetnosti. Pored uvida u Amandin atelje, tokom videa se mogu videti i kadrovi iz stokholmskog metroa, gde su trenutno izloženi radovi ove umetnice. We’re launching the new season of the Supervizuelna in the Studio series with an episode in which we visited the studio of artist Amanda Hellsten in Stockholm. We spoke with her about exhibition conditions and the possibilities for selling artworks in Sweden, the current art scene in Stockholm and her artistic approaches. In addition to a glimpse into Amanda’s studio, the video also features footage from the Stockholm subway, where her works are currently on display. Amanda Hellsten (b 1989) in Umeå. From 2011 to 2013 she attended Umeå preparatory art school (Umeå Konstskola). In 2015 she was accepted to the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm five year program. During her studies she also spend a year in Vienna on ERASMUS exchange in the fall 2018 and spring 2019. She had her solo and graduation show in 2020 and got her master in 2021. Shes lived and worked in Stockholm since. Amanda worked with a lot of different mediums, but she’s been focused on painting and drawing the last couple of years. Her paintings are colorful and people often mention naivism in relation to her work. Her work is figurative and mainly depicts herself and her friends and acquaintances. Her works are often somewhat humorous with pop cultural elements. Her art is currently displayed in the Stockholm subway at the station Gärdet.

Amanda Hellsten rođena je 1989. godine u Umeu. Od 2011. do 2013. pohađala je Pripremnu umetničku školu u Umeu (Umeå Konstskola). Godine 2015. primljena je na petogodišnji program Kraljevskog instituta za umetnost u Stokholmu. Za vreme studija provela je godinu dana na Erazmus razmeni u Beču, tokom jeseni 2018. i proleća 2019. godine. Svoju samostalnu i završnu izložbu imala je 2020, a master diplomu je stekla 2021. godine. Od tada živi i radi u Stokholmu. Amanda je radila u različitim medijima, ali se poslednjih godina fokusirala na slikarstvo i crtanje. Njene slike su živopisne i ljudi često pominju naivizam u vezi sa njenim radom. Njena umetnost je figurativna i uglavnom prikazuje nju samu, kao i njene prijatelje i poznanike. Njeni radovi često sadrže dozu humora i elemente pop kulture. Njena umetnost je trenutno izložena u stokholmskom metrou, na stanici Gärdet.
